Safety is always our top priority. Occasionally, sea conditions make it impossible to operate the boat trip.

Walking the Flysch + Guided tour of Zumaia
When the boat cannot sail, we offer an alternative that allows your group to continue exploring the area.
We begin with a guided walk through some of the most representative sections of the flysch, interpreting its geology, landscape and the history of this unique environment. Afterwards, we continue with a guided tour of Zumaia’s historic centre, discovering its heritage, its close relationship with the sea and some of its most iconic landmarks.
Although sailing may not be possible, the experience retains its educational focus and offers the opportunity to discover the area from a different perspective.
This alternative has been designed as a Plan B for groups that had originally booked the boat trip.
Mundubira Elkanoren Ibilbidea
Another alternative is Mundubira Elkanoren Ibilbidea, an interactive experience inspired by the first circumnavigation of the world.
Through a series of team challenges and activities, participants discover the story of Juan Sebastián Elkano and one of the greatest maritime expeditions in history.

Guided tour of San Telmo
During the summer, we organise morning guided visits to San Telmo Hermitage, one of Zumaia’s most recognisable landmarks and a spectacular viewpoint overlooking the coastline and the Basque Coast Geopark.

Flysch Gymkana
The Flysch Gymkana offers a different way to discover the Geopark through challenges, observation and teamwork.
